Our Gingerbread Contest

We had a gingerbread house competition for family home evening with my family. The rules were , it had to be made of homemade gingerbread and that it had to be all edible. We had teams. The teams were my mom and Julie, Josh and Erica, Jase, and Whit and I. So whit and I decided to make the Eiffel Tower.
So here are all of are pieces with a couple of them put together. Whit is being Vanna White and showing them off.
This is the base of our Eiffel Tower.
This is the Eiffel Tower in gingerbread
Whit is starting to decorate it with the frosting and decorations.
This is about how far we got at our family home evening. We were to tired to keep doing it so we went home.
We came back the next day and finished it off. We got it all decorated. So here it is. I think you can click on it and zoom in if you want to see all of the candy we used.
Here is a close up of the top of our gingerbread Eiffel Tower. We used Air Heads to make the flag. A Forrer Rocher for the gold top. We frosted the top of it and put pieces of broken candy cane all over the top.
This is my mom's gingerbread house. It's pretty Hardcore. She even has a candy train going in front of the house.
She made a sweet chiminey.
Our Tour Eiffel and My mom's House.
Me standing by the Tour Eiffel just so you can see about how big it really is.Team Josh and Erica , and Team Jase haven't finished their Houses yet but when they do I will post some pictures of their houses.
